Christmas Adventures - Sea World

Welcome to day two of our daily Christmas Adventures blog posts! This year is different right? We can't ignore or hide from the fact that this year will be different from Christmases past but that doesn't mean Christmas is cancelled or can't be celebrated and happy. There are a lot of things we do each year that bring us joy that will have to be put on hold this year but one of the things that bring us an amazing amount of joy during the holidays is visiting Sea World. One of the biggest reasons we purchased annual passes is because of how they Christmas and that is as true this year as ever.

We have visited Sea World several times since they reopened and we have felt safe with the precautions they have in place. I made these reservations several weeks ago to include in Tamy's Advent Calendar which you can see more about here. We got there just as the Christmas village opened and we were able to get right in to meet with Rudolph and Bumble. The village is so cute and fun, there are games and music, stilt walkers and live music - LIVE MUSIC!

We ate delicious food at one of the holiday food booths, coconut shrimp for me and seared scallops with mushroom risotto for Tamy, both delicious. We sat by the water, and we talked and looked at the lights and marveled at how not crowded this hidden spot was! We finished eating just as the first Sea of Tree show began so we had a great spot for it!

Star our Elf came along on this adventure and she was glad for the front row spot to see the trees. The Sea of Trees is BEAUTIFUL, music and dancing trees, a beautiful story of Christmas, love and kindness. It was a message we definitely need right now.

We walked around the entire park enjoying the beautiful weather, the lights, and the important thing this Christmas... being together! It is true this year is different, it is true that this year when walking around we have to wear masks but what is also true, we are together. There are things we are still able to do, like walk around Sea World and share a bag of hot donuts, and look at Christmas lights and laugh, sing and dance to our favorite holiday songs. That is truly what this post is about. Sure I'm talking a lot about Sea World and this night out but at the end of the day we were together enjoying things that we are still able to enjoy and the real reason for the season right? A holiday date night with my wife is a highlight of the season and I will cherish the memories we made last night!

What special holiday traditions do you have? Which ones are you able to keep this year and which ones will you have to pause or modify? Please share in the comments!
