Makeup Monday - The Return!

Ok guys we're back with an all new makeup Monday featuring a brand new palette and fun new eye looks. Also, I'm going to share some tips on how to get ready for the new year. Let's get to it since we have a lot to cover today. I got the new ColourPop Mandalorian palette as a Christmas present from my friend Gabby and I've had a blast creating looks with this.

First off let me say this is my first ColourPop palette and I am beyond impressed. These colors are gorgeous, really well pigmented, not a lot of fall out even from the shimmer shades and they blend so well! I will definitely be picking up some additional ColourPop palettes in the very near future. If you have a favorite share them in the comments below.

I had a lot of fun with the first look, a little more classic, blended several colors and added just a touch of shimmer. I was really happy with the end result.

I will be honest though, I am OBSESSED with the look I created today. I did a little bit of a halo look I used the shade Float Your Crib on inner and outer corner of the lid and then filled the middle of my lid with sipping soup and a dash of precious cargo. I repeated the color pattern on my water line as well. This is a little out of my comfort zone but I had a blast, love the result and will definitely be sporting this look for New Year's Eve, which for the record I'll be spending safely in my apartment with Tamy and the dog but that doesn't mean I can't still have a great eye look going does it?

This is the last Monday of the year, next makeup Monday will find us a few days into 2021, can you believe it. This has been both the longest year and fastest year ever. I don't buy into the whole New Year, New You crap that is fed to us but that doesn't mean there aren't a few things we can do to set ourselves up for the best year ever right? Here are some of the things I'm going to do to get 2021 off on the right foot:

  1. Clean/replace brushes - Let me just say that we should all be cleaning our brushes much more often than once a year but now is a good time to do it and see which brushes might need replacing.

  2. Organize our cosmetics and beauty products - I bet there is stuff we could all get rid of, or put away. Starting the year off organized with our go to products in an easy to grab location will help us step into the new year with one less thing to worry about.

  3. Take Stock - While you are organizing see what items need to be replenished. You want to start the new year off fully stocked right? I already told Tamy I needed to pick up a couple of things like makeup remover, cleanser and she filled my stocking with cotton pads so I can start the year off with a full arsenal.

  4. Set your beauty goals for the new year - not change who you are but make a list of goals, things you want to try, things you want to practice, products on your wish list. For me I always have a product wish list of course but I also want to work on different eyeliner looks and perfect a winged look.

  5. PLAY! - Especially if you are just chillin' at home this week what a great time to try new color combinations, play with different looks and if you hate it guess what you can wipe it right off! If you hit on something you love than you might move into the New Year with a fun look in your back pocket.

I look forward to a fun year ahead of trying new looks, new products and sharing new beauty ideas with you. As always if there is anything you hope to see in coming Makeup Monday posts give me a shout and I will do my absolute best to comply!
