I am so excited for this Makeup Monday post! I am a huge fan of Prince and have been since I was a kid, and of course you all know I'm a huge fan of eyeshadow palettes and I'm also a huge fan of Urban Decay so this collaboration was like a dream come true! I opted to order the Urban Decay x Prince collection on Sephora which meant I had to wait a couple of weeks after the initial release but it was totally worth the wait!
There are two eyeshadow palettes, the Let's Go Crazy is pictured above and a comes in the purple case. It is gorgeous. I am obsessed. I love a good purple palette and Urban Decay knows how to do them right.
I have created fun looks with this palette and overall I'm a big fan. I will say there is quite a bit of fallout that occurs but I just clean it up with my foundation after I'm done with the eyes. The colors blend super well and are really nicely pigmented. I have to dive into those blues a bit more because as you know blues have become my thing lately too.
The U Got The Look palette is the perfect palette for a smoky eye and the rich golds are heavenly!
I've had so much fun creating looks with this palette and like the purples these shades are all really well pigmented and blend really really nicely. Again, a definite issue with fallout but again I just fix it when I do my foundation post eyeshadow.
As much fun as I've had creating looks for myself the real fun was when one of my nearest and dearest Gabby suggested a makeup day! She also picked up these palettes and she entrusted me with creating an outside the box look for her!
I had so much fun bringing this gold and smoky eye look to life and thankfully Gabby was really happy with it as well. I used the U Got the Look palette using five colors from this palette!
I was so inspired by the look I created for Gabby I created a similar one for myself the next day! I have a few more tweaks I want to make but man I am digging this look!
For makeup day I used the Let's Go Crazy look for myself using five shades to create some depth in this very purple and shimmery look.
It was a super fun day, and super fun to create these looks together, you can head to Instagram for a cute little reel we put together! We had a blast! Final thoughts on these palettes, the fallout isn't a deal breaker for me, the colors blend well, I think the pigment is great - safe to say, I'm a fan! Do you have a collaboration you are hoping to see from a cosmetic brand in the future?
