We are getting the Summer started in a great big way, even though we are just in the early days of June we are already crossing things off of the bucket list! (You can ready my Summer Bucket List here.) We go on our adventures with our friend Reyna at least monthly and have been for quite some time but I have to say this one might have skyrocketed to the top of the list! We headed to Kissimmee for a Boggy Creek Airboat Adventure - joined by Reyna and her dad Jim we had the absolute best time.
It is safe to say I was blown away by this experience and this park. It was about an hour drive from where we live so of course by the time I got there I had to use the restroom and the cleanliness of this restroom was a good omen for the rest of the experience. We met up with the rest of our party and checked in and while we were waiting, we walked through the butterfly garden, visited with some alligators, wondered around the gift shop which was so totally adorable and then waited to board our ride!
We chose a one-hour tour, which cost $55. The price well worth it. We saw alligators, and learned amazing facts about how and where they live. We saw so many birds , this wasn't my most favorite part to be honest, but we learned about native to Florida birds and their nesting habits and even saw baby birds in the nest!!
The airboat ride was super smooth, the tour guide was kind and knowledgeable. The hour flew by so fast and before we knew it we were back at the beautiful park, all of us in agreement we would do this again. Boggy Creek Airboat Adventures also offer sunset rides and annual passes, there is a restaurant on site that I definitely want to try.
This was an excellent Florida adventure, more nature than I'm used to and surprisingly that didn't bother me one bit. I had an absolute blast, I can't wait to do it again and I can't wait to tick off more bucket list items! What do you want to see us cross off the list next?
